All stores in Accra have been closed today Tuesday, July 2, as part of a large clean-up exercise launched by the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, in preparation for the Homowo festival.
On Friday, June 21, the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsru II launched a clean-up exercise towards the Homowo festival 2024. During the launch of this initiative, he said. “We expect all shops and businesses in the designated area to close on the day of the exercise. We also urge leaders of various groups and associations to participate fully,”
Today 2nd July, marks the first phase of the clean-up exercise and all stores in the heart of Accra were closed to observe the directives of the Ga Mantse.
The exercise is in partnership with the Zoomlion Ghana and other corporate bodies. “We have mobilized resources and forged partnerships to ensure the success of the clean-up exercise,” he assured.
