Top hierarchy of the Ghana Football Association has told Coach Otto Addo to retire 3 of the senior players of the team after the Double Header clash between Ghana and Sudan.
In a Heated meeting held before the Ghana vs Sudan 0-0 clash at the Accra Sports Stadium, the Ghana FA told the coach to start a new chapter of the team with Young players, including naming new set of leaders for the team, with Kudus Mohammed as the Captain.
Our source within the Ghana FA said the coach was told to plan his future games without the 3 senior players, and insisted the commitment level of Thomas Partey has been questionable in the past year, and therefore he should be excused from the team to allow new players into the rebuilding process.
The Source said even though the coach did not immediately accept the request, his decision to the Captains arm band to Kudus Mohammed for the home game against Sudan suggested the coach was in line to go with the offer.
The decision is implemented will mean the trio of Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey will be involuntarily retired from the team without their consent.
Our source say Coach Otto Addo will name new Leaders for the team in the next call up in November when Ghana plays their final AFCON 2025 qualifier.
