Former Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi has pulled the Breaks on the third term Ambition of Kurt Okraku at the GFA Presidency.
Speaking on Asempa FM Sports’ nite show, Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi told Enoch Worlayno Wallace he believes the laws will not permit Kurt Okraku to contest for a Third term.
Mr Nyantakyi who was answering questions on the ambitious attempt by Kurt Okraku to contest for a third term in Office maintained the Laws of Ghana, and the Companies act do not permit laws to take retrospect action, and believes even if the GFA Congress pass the resolution to change the term limit of the President to 3, Kurt Okraku will stil not be Eligible to run for a Third term of office.
“You know, I will share my opinion on this Matter, I know that Laws do not take Retrospective action, and so when you are in charge of an Organisation, you cannot change the rules to favor you, if they change the term limit, Kurt Okraku should not be able to contest” Mr Nyantakyi said
“He came to office under a Two term limit, and during the course of his term if the Association changes the term limit, he should not be able to qualify to contest” – He added.
Mr Nyantakyi spoke on several areas affecting Ghana Football, including disunity, Coaching and the Management of the National Teams
