Qualified – War Monger, Yaa Asantewaa fires Black Queens to first Africa Women Nations Cup in Six Years

The Black Queens of Ghana put up a spirited performance backed by the ever fighting power off Yaa Aante to qualify for their first major tournament under new coach Nora Hauptle

The Queens, despite a 1-0 away lose to Namibia in Pretoria secured a placed in the continental championship with a 3-2 aggregate scoreline, having beaten their opponent 3-1 in Accra.

Black Queens, 3 time runners up at the AWCON will be making their first appearance at the championship since 2018 when Ghana Hosted the rest of Africa.

The 2024 AWCON championship will be hosted by Morocco in a back-to-back fashion, having hosted the previous champonhip in 2022.
