Ghana vs Nigeria, Jordan Ayew leads black Stars to face Super Eagles in Otto Addo’s return

Jordan Ayew  will lead the Black Stars of Ghana to battle their Nigerian opponents in Coach Otto Addo’s first game since returning to take the Black Stars job on a permanent contract

With Andre Ayew not in the squad, and the absence of Thomas Partey and Richard Ofori, the mantle is now on the Crystal Palace attacker to take the reformed Black Stars to their first game since the AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.

Having returned to take the team on a 3 year renewable contract, coach Otto Addo has named an unfamiliar side to face the Nigerians as he observes new players invited for the double header friendly

Lawrence Ati-Zigi will be in goal as the trusted pair of hands ahead of Joojo Wollacott, and Frederick Asare.

In defence, Alidu Seidu, will play alongside Patrick Kpozo, Jerome Opoku, and Samed Abdul Salis, who has been drafted to join the back 4

Debutant Forson Amankwaa will get the chance to showcase his talent to the returnee Ghanaian gaffer in a midfield combination of Baba Iddrisu, Ernest Nuamah and Edmund Addo

In what looks like a 4-4-2 system, Coach Addo is trusting Antoine Semenyo and Jordan Ayew to lead the charges upfront as the pair of attackers tasked to face the Nigerian defence that finished the AFCON as the runners up
