AFCON Qualifiers : Angola won’t come easy, Black Stars coach Otto Addo rings in Alarm bell

 

Black Stars Coach Otto Addo has pressed the alarm bell as the senior National team of Ghana host the Palancas Negras of Angola in the opening group game for the 2025 Africa cup of Nations.

Expressing his fears to the game at the pre match press conference, Otto Addo maintained  the recent performance of Angola puts them in a situation that many other teams must play cautiously against.

The former Ghana international however expressed confidence in his men, stating his men are ready for the battle.

Otto Addo who is returning to coach the Black Stars following his exit after the 2022 world cup is hoping to get the AFCON Qualifiers going.

“I’m convinced that we can beat them, but it won’t be easy. And also we had some injuries, but I think the squad is ready. We have a lot of players who can match up”.

Coach Otto Addo also bemoaned the absence of some key players due to injuries and wished they were part of his squad for the double headed clash against Angola and Niger

“And surely on this way I wish all the players which are injured, Kamal Dean, Gideon Mensah, Alexander Djiku and the rest so we have more which are injured and I wish them a speedy recovery and then we see how the season goes when they come back”. He added.

The Black Stars are in group F alongside Sudan, Angola and Niger, with the winner of the group progressing to the AFCON in Morocco
