Beach Soccer – Senegalese Referee responds to Ghana’s call for Fair officiating

Senegalese referees primed to officiate the Ivory Coast vs Ghana Afcon 2024 qualifier in Abidjan on Saturday, have assured Black Sharks officials that they will officiate by the book professionally to ensure that the best team wins on match day.

The assurances have come in the wake of complaints by team Ghana against their Ivorian counterparts.

The Sharks were not allowed to train at an approved sand pitch and had to make arrangements at a public beach to conduct their one hour session.

The road trip fatigue frustrations, and some other challenges notwithstanding, a member of the beach soccer committee Mr Kusi Awere Gyamfi insists that the team is poised for battle.

“The boys know what is at stake so the problems outside the pitch will only psyche them up to fight harder so that they are adequately rewarded after qualification”.

The pre match conference was successfully held on Friday morning and all is now set for an epic second leg on Saturday afternoon.
