The government of Ghana through the ministry of Youth and Sports has fulfilled the Promise Made to Ghanaian Athletes, who participated in the Africa Games in Accra.
The Ministry, after going into Hybernation for more than 60 days after the completion of the games that saw Ghana win its all time most Medals since the Competition began, has finally resurrected to pay the Athletes
The Government of Ghana promised each medal winner cash reward of 3,000 US dollars for gold, 2000 US dollars for silver, and 1000 US dollars for bronze before the commencement of the competition, which Ghana hosted.
The Ministry released the cheques in Ghana Cedis equivalence to all the Medals winners on Friday, May 18.
Ghana Won 11 Gold Medals, 23 Silver and 16 Bronze Medals, with Athelets from the Ghana Armwrestling leading the Pack with the most Medals for the Country.
