Former Director of the National Sports Authority, and a pioneer of the Winneba Sports college Dr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah is reportedly dead.
Dr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah was the Chief Operations officer of the just ended Africa games hosted in Accra.
Before his reported death, Dr Owusu-Ansah has been involved in all facets of Ghana Sports from Football through athletics, Arm-wrestling, and many other growing sporting disciplines in Ghana
Dr Emmanuel Owusu Ansah initiated the establishment of the National Sports College in Winneba, Ghana and subsequently became its first Director. before then Dr Owusu Ansah had worked in various positions as the Chief Athletic Coach, Chief Sports Development Officer and Ag. Chief Executive of the National Sports Council ( now National Sports Authority); Director of Sports at the Ministry of Youth and Sports; Director of Sports and Chairman of the Sports Management Committee of the Sports Directorate at the University of Ghana. Dr Owusu Ansah also served on the following bodies; Member of the University of Ghana Sports Advisory Board; Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Body of Sport Experts; Chairman of the African Union (AU) Sport Experts that formulated the AU Sport Policy for Sustainable Development; Member of the Commonwealth Advisory Body on Sport (CABOS) and Member of the United Nations International Working Group on Sport for Development and Peace.
Upon retirement, Dr Owusu Ansah was strongly linked to the establishment of the Physical; Education and Sport Studies Department at the School of Education and Leadership of the College of Education, University of Ghana
Dr Owusu Ansah’s passion to help young people identify, develop and use their God given talent to first, serve mankind and secondly to achieve success, wealth, health, happiness, peace of mind and fulfillment in life through the application of the Law of Attraction (LOA) was never hidden as he did this with all his might.
