The Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs association Cudjoe Fianoo has called on the Government of Ghana to suspend all financial funding of the Black Stars until the leadership of the Ghana Football Association resign.
Mr Fianoo who has been critical of the leadership of the Ghana FA led by Kurt Okraku told Citi News the Black Stars need serious management restructuring that requires that the current management and the members of the Executive council resigning.
Mr Fianoo insisted that should the Leadership of the GFA fail to resign their position, the Government must suspend all funding to the team.
The former Ashantigold Chief Executive officer noted that since the FA maintain they are answerable to FIFA, they must fund the activities of the Black Stars with funding from FIFA
“If they claim they are under FIFA, they must use the money from FIFA to manage the team, The government must stop funding the team until they (executive council) resign”.
The Black Stars have come under serious public scrutiny following their inability to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco.
